Getting started...

This is really just a test to see how the whole web journal thing feels (for the record, I cannot stand the world "blog" - it makes my skin crawl). I suppose the first lesson I have learned is that it's no fun being late to this whole scene, as most of the URLs I had in mind have already been taken.
